Right now, I live in Buckinghamshire, with my life companion Verity and our daughter Rowan (with another on the way!), where we love our little patch of garden, making music, cooking good stuff and having friends come and eat it, baking bread, and watching the starlings steal the cherries.
In these pages, you can find out about the work I do, how to book a workshop or commission a wee something.
I’m a painter, illustrator and creative workshop leader, with a whole lot of other experience in between, including therapeutic horticulture, stints in offices and warehouses, on an organic farm, volunteering in an ecohome and sitting in a toll booth between England and Wales - some of which were opportunities for doodling on an unprecedented scale.
I’ve been involved in all sorts of creative things, from working with 240 primary school children to create Balinese flags, to designing cider labels, from illustrating signs for a community garden to coordinating the painting of a forty metre long mural. Themes and media are diverse, but underpinning them all are a love for the natural world, and a desire to build more sustainable communities and bring people together.
What you see here is a selection of work - if you have other ideas, or would like me to invent some, I’d be happy to hear from you - you can contact me here.
